What a great day it was for a hayride…..and dinosaurs! The Teapot Diplomats of Borderless Arts had a wonderful time at Cayce’s Pumpkin Patch. The group took a hayride through the fields while viewing over 40 life-sized metal dinosaur sculptures. We also learned about each of these dinosaurs….this is a very educational tour. The Participants got to ride the barrels, play with Brave Heart the calf and then we created our own art on gourds.
After the visit to Cayce’s, we went up the road to Pleasant Valley Bulk foods which is run by the local Amish. The group got to see Amish art and have a tasty lunch. We were fortunate to hit this on a day of a little festival where there were even Amish and area vendors set up outside. (The only photos I used for this visit was stock photos from their website since the Amish do not wish to be photographed. To be respectful, I put my camera away for this visit)
It was a perfect fall excursion that was educational, instructional, and fall fun all combined into one.
All of this is just outside of Princeton KY! Go for a visit. You won’t be disappointed. The best looking pumpkins of all sizes I have seen are at Cayce’s. Some of the biggest I have ever seen….did not know they got that big.
