Saturday afternoon was spent at the Evansville Wartime Museum.

This museum was impacted by a tornado that hit it about a month ago. The museum is temporarily closed to the public. However, the museum made special arrangements with the airport to use one of their hangars just for our visit. The museum pulled out several displays and brought in speakers to talk about the war efforts of Evansville for WWII.

In addition, two military veterans spoke to the group. One of the veterans is an artist and he shared his art.

The museum also offered Command Car and Tank rides.

Our participants presented them with a challenge coin, a glass art poppy piece and our nose art pillow.

This group went above and beyond to make a special event for our participants. It will be a visit we will not forget.
