On the weekend of June 21, 33 people associated with Borderless Arts traveled to North Georgia to visit the North Georgia Wildlife and Safari Park to kick off our summer.
Participants took a wagon ride safari, got a behind the scenes walk of the exotics, learned about unique animals through the Zippty Zoo encounter, and had fun in the petting zoo. However, what brought us to the park was the painting experience with the animals. Participants painted with a penguin, sloth and capybara.
The area was rich with other summer and cultural activities. Some of the participants enjoyed waterfall hikes and gold panning. Others visited the quaint Bavarian style town of Helen. There was truly something for everyone.
