Join the Teapot Diplomats of Borderless Arts TN on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 10:30 at at the Frist Museum of Visual Arts in Nashville. The group will view the Knights in Armor exhibit and work under a Frist artist to create their own kimono.
Participants will design their own kimono using simple stencils, washi tape and metallic pencils. Kimonos are traditional outfits for both men and women in Japan, and the activity is about design. Participants will visit the exhibition where there they will see examples of robes with a lot of different imagery, for example dragons!
This project is funded in part by Mark and Niki Antonini. This project is also being supported in part by federal award number SLFRP5534 awarded to the State of Tennessee by the U.S. Department of the Treasury through the Tennessee Arts Commission
