Light the Lamp project of Borderless Arts TN has been running for the past two days under the artistic direction of Charlie Calderon at Trinity Lutheran Church – Gallatin TN.
Participants have been learning about the unique history of the way miners have used light. One of the earliest forms of a light source was called a Teapot Lamp. Considering the fact that the Borderless Arts visual arts program is called the Teapot Diplomats, we decided to take this on as a visual arts project.
These photos are from the first day when the participants were learning about the lamps and forming their molds.
Thanks to my husband for his assistance
