Early in 2018, Borderless Arts was contacted by a fashion designer who runs Debbie Martin Designs who wanted to partner with the Teapot Diplomat Program in the creation of designs for scarves. The idea was that if we could provide designs, she would use them on scarves in her Hazel and Friends Collections. She also has her work sold in Dillard’s Department Stores.
Last Saturday, the Teapot Diplomats worked under the artistic direction of Kathy Plourde using a variety of watercolor art techniques to create various designs. The designs were submitted and the four designs above have been selected.
Four designs were selected to become scarves in the Hazel and Friends collection. They are also being presented to Dillard’s to roll out in their collection after the first of the year.
We will keep you informed as to where you can find the scarves once they are in the market.
This program is supported by Mark and Niki Antonini.
