The Mote Marine Laboratories got in touch with the Arts and Cultural Alliance of Sarasota County and told them about the Arty the Shark project. The Arts and Cultural Alliance invited the Borderless Arts TN Teapot Diplomats to come and give a community presentation explaining the process for creating Arty the Shark.

In addition to giving a presentation this coming Saturday, the participants will also lead an art workshop in which they will have their audience made sharks using techniques related to Kandinsky.

The Arts and Cultural Alliance are not only opening this presentation up to the general public, but they are also busing in some of their participants with disabilities and they are encouraging attendance by their art leaders.

What an amazing opportunity for our participants to share their talents and be seen as leaders in both the arts and disabilities communities.

The Teapot Diplomat program is supported by Mark and Niki Antonini. The art shown in this photo is a sample created by Hope McKee of what she, and the other Teapot Diplomats, will be teaching their audience to make.
