The Borderless Arts TN Teapot Diplomat Visual Arts program will once again offer the Meet the Masters program in which participants learn about famous artists, their art techniques, and create art using those techniques.  This year the program will have a special twist by also being connected to art made during WWII as Borderless Arts will be honoring Veterans throughout 2024 with special emphasis on the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge.

On Feb. 10 at 10am, Monica Leister will offer a Zoom workshop as part of the Borderless Arts TN Meet the Masters Program focused on Normal Rockwell.  Norman Rockwell was a famous illustrator known for capturing the American way of life early in the 20th century. The illustrations were often found on the cover of the Saturday Evening Post. During World War 2, he created a series of paintings called the Four Freedoms.

Participants will learn about Norman Rockwell and the Four Freedoms. They will get to illustrate a mock cover of the Saturday Evening Post with their self-portrait and a “freedom” that is very important to them
