Throughout the summer, VSA TN Alex Evans has been writing articles about the Memorial Park Mosaic Wall Project. His final story ends with a thank you to the supporters of this project.
This week, we would like to recognize the Memorial Wall Project’s generous sponsors.
Up first is the Tennessee Arts Commission. Each year, TAC helps fund the activities of more than 700 organizations and artists. We are fortunate to have been one of the many projects TAC has chosen to help this year.
Up next is the William N. Rollins Fund for the Arts. Named after artist William N Rollins, the Fund is a way to continue the legacy that Mr. Rollins created in his lifetime. His work focused on beautiful collages that he created from origami paper. It’s a pleasure to have the Memorial Wall Project be an extension of his legacy. This fund is provided through the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
VSA Tennessee has been honored to have the Memorial Foundation support many of its community projects throughout the years and to continue that support with the Memorial Park Mosaic Wall Project. The Memorial Foundation was established in April of 1994 with an endowment fund generated from the sale of the assets of Nashville Memorial Hospital in Madison, Tennessee. At that time, members of the hospital’s Board of Trust became members of the Board of Directors of The Memorial Foundation. In keeping with its roots, The Memorial Foundation’s mission is to improve the quality of life for people through support to nonprofit organizations.
And finally, we have the Nashville Predators! Since 1998, the Nashville Predators Foundation has been helping the local community grow by aiding area nonprofits and charities. VSA has been aided by the Foundation in the past and VSA is honored to continue working together in order to better the local community.
