The Water Warriors are coming!

Saturday April 6 at Memorial Park in Hendersonville TN, 5 teams led by professional artists (Carlos Calderon, Dee Kimbrell,Monica Leister,  Lauren Maheu, and Kathy Plourde) will battle it out to create the most creative floating pieces of art out of plastics with a conservation message.  They will then race the art on the lake inlet.

Teams will also compete in areas of best cheer, best flag and the trash toss.  Games will take place throughout the day from 9am-noon culminating in the 1pm race.

Borderless Arts is honored to have a number of conservation partners assisting with this project to include: Green Village Recycling & Sustainability, Rivive! Nashville, Tennessee Environmental Council, TN Scenic Rivers Association, TN Wildlife Resources Agency, and Walmart.

This is part of the Teapot Diplomat program which is supported by Mark and Niki Antonini. This particular project is receiving support from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
