Last summer, International Paper agreed to provide a matching grant to Mark and Niki Antonini’s original contribution to start the Teapot Diplomat Program. The International Paper funds are to bring the Teapot Diplomat program to Bartlett High School’s Transition Program.
Bartlett has already met with Dee Kimbrell to make bottle cap art. In April, they will work with Jennie Harriman. A schedule has just been set for the fall to include additional artists of Carlos Calderon, Betty Turney Tuner and Jen Vogus.
Students will have sessions in art and communication with a goal to have the students become Teapot Diplomats and receive the Communication certification that the program offers. The plan is for the students to participate in the 2021 PIE Conference.
Borderless Arts is very excited about this partnership!
