Today was a proud moment for the Teapot Diplomat visual arts program.
Last year, Borderless Arts TN was invited to teach an art project to the ICE (Inclusive College Experience) camp at Middle Tennessee State University. Rather than send one of our teaching artists, we sent two of our participants. Hope McKee and Erica McMurray presented an art form that they had learned in a workshop to campers.
They were such a success that they were invited back again this year. This year, Hope and Erica selected an artist, learned about her style, figured out an art project that represented her style and taught it to the campers. This is always the hope of what our participants can do.
